LUDELL, Kan. -- Raythel Lea (Draper) Reuber, 71, died Tuesday (Oct. 7, 2008) at Hospice House of Reno County in Hutchinson, Kan.

She was born July 7, 1937, on the Wiggenhorn Ranch to Charles and Harriette (Mossburgh) Draper. She was confirmed and baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ludell.

On Aug. 19, 1956, she married Edward Reuber at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ludell. She was a farmwife and homemaker.

She was a life time resident of Rawlins County. For nearly 50 years she volunteered her services to the church and the community, teaching Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, Prairie Development Center and Good Samaritan Center. She was also the area director of Northwest Kansas-Family Communication and Education, vice president of the NW Chapter Thrivent Financial Services and the election board.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward; grandparents; uncles and aunts; a brother; two brothers-in-law; and a niece.

Survivors include her sons, Kevin Williams Reuber of Ludell and Dale Edward Reuber of Hutchinson; daughters, Evelyn Joleen (Reuber) Larson and husband, Danny of Atwood and Peggy Valjean (Reuber) Gott and husband, Dan of Gardner, Kan.; three sisters, Phyllis Bexley, Jody Lee and husband, Ray, and Vivian Jones; brother, Robert Draper and wife, Stella; sister-in-law, Sue Draper; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday, 1:30 p.m., at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Atwood with the Rev. Don White officiating. Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in rural Ludell.

Visitation is today until 7 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Atwood and from 11 a.m., until time of services on Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be given in her name to the American Cancer Society, Hospice House of Reno County and the church.
