Howard "Hank" Kisker, 74, Satanta, Kan., died Friday, July 25, 2008 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St. Francis Campus, Wichita, Kan., as a result of an auto accident.

The son of Frank and Laura (Roedel) Kisker, he was born Nov. 18, 1933, at Red Willow, Neb. Hank moved to Haskell County, Kan., in the late 1960s from McCook, Neb.

He and Sharon Gray were married June 30, 1979, at Satanta, Kan.

He was a cattle buyer and co-owner of Satanta Grocery, Satanta. He never met a stranger and was a man of his word. He enjoyed buying cattle. His dog Missy was very special to him. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Satanta.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Kisker, Satanta, Kan.; two daughters, Emily Kisker, Gridley, Kan., Laura Beth Hickert and husband, Aaron, Moscow, Kan.; two step sons, Bobby Morgan, Okla., Danny Morgan and wife, Carla, Satanta, Kan.; six grandchildren and one great granddaughter and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Everett Kisker and wife, Ilene.

A memorial has been established for the Happy Agers Site, Satanta, Kan. Memorials may be left at the Shopping Stop True Value, Satanta or mailed to Haskell County Funeral Home, Box 607, Sublette, KS 67877.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Satanta, Kansas with Minister Randy Dirrim presiding and burial in the Dudley Township Cemetery, Satanta, Kansas.

Haskell County Funeral Home, Sublette, is in charge of the arrangements.
