Virgil and Amelia Jacobs

The family of Virgil and Amelia Jacobs is hosting an open house in honor of the couple's 60th wedding anniversary. They were married Aug. 18, 1947, at St. Fidelis Church in Victoria, Kan. The open house is Sunday, Aug. 19, 2-5 p.m., at the Elk's Lounge Blue Room in Russell, Kan. Cards of congratulations will reach them at 2800 Augusta Lane, Apt. 411, Hays, KS 67601. Their children are Ron and Donna Jacobs of McCook, Karen Klitizing and Roger Ryan of Wichita, Kan., and Tom Jacobs and Vickie Buck of Russell, Kan. They have nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
