Ferguson, Taylor wedding

Carla and Joshua Taylor

IMPERIAL -- Carla May Ferguson of Palisade and Joshua Ryan Taylor of Champion were united in marriage Dec. 30, 2006 in Crossroads Wesleyan Church in Imperial with the Rev. Todd Burpo officiating.

Parents of the couple are Wayne and Marlyn Ferguson of Parks and Ron and Dena Taylor of Champion

Grandparents of the couple are John and Wilma Ferguson of Parks, Darlene Dya of Yuma, Colo., and the late Cliford Day, Hazel (Taylor) Woolery of Ephrata, Wash. and the late Glen Taylor and Wilfred Comstock of Ephrata and the late June Comstock.

Rachel Garcia, of Brewster, Kan., served as the Matron of Honor, but was unable to attend due to the snow storm. Bridesmaids were Amy Portchy of McCook, Alicia Hegwood of Culbertson and Holly Bloomberg of Hastings. Junior bridesmaids were Rebecca Chapman, cousin of the bride of Yuma, Colo., and Destiny Garcia of Brewster, Kan.

The best man was Jacob Taylor, brother of the bridegroom, of Champion. Bridegroomsmen were Jason Taylor, brother of the bridegroom, of Brownlee, Steve Young of Rawlins, Wyo., and Jock Sheehan of Dixon, Wyo. Junior bridegroomsmen were Nathan Cole and Clifton Cole, sons of the bride, of Palisade.

Katie Chapman, cousin of the bride, of Yuma, was the flower girl and Cody Taylor, nephew of the bridegroom, of Brownlee, was the ring bearer. Candlelighters were De'Andra Garcia of Brewster, Austin Young of Rawlins and Ashley Young of Rawlins.

Derek Beck, cousin of the bride, of Culbertson, Matt Beck, cousin of the bride, of Stillwater, Okla., and Bob Beck, uncle of the bride, of Benkelman served as ushers.

Charlene Huwa, aunt of the bride of Yuma, was the soloist.

A reception followed in the Champion Community Center. Stephanie York of Fort Collins, Colo., was the guestbook attendant. Host couples were Bryce and Lynetta Day, uncle and aunt of the bride of Yuma, and Bob and Jean Beck, uncle and aunt of the bride, of Benkelman.

The bride is a 1994 graduate of Dundy County High School, 2003 graduate of NCTA in Curtis and a 2005 Bellevue University, McCook Campus graduate. She is employed as a grain accountant at Southwest Grain in Trenton. The bridegroom is a 1998 graduate of Snake River Valley High School in Baggs, Wyo. and drives a truck for Ott Transportation in Palisade.

After a honeymoon in Grand Island, the couple is making their home in Palisade.
