OBERLIN -- Karen Flynn 59, died Friday (Nov. 10, 2006) at Decatur County Hospital.

She was born April 25, 1947 in Denver, Colo., to Slim and Wilma (Hansen) Ball. She lived in Denver, East Peoria, Ill., Phoenix, Ariz., and Fairplay, Colo. She attended grade and high school in East Peoria and Phoenix. She attended Front Range College in Fairplay.

On Dec. 13, 1964, she married William (Bill) Flynn in Denver. They lived in Denver, New Mexico, California, and Fairplay, before moving to Oberlin in 1998. She worked as a factory worker and nurses aide. She also worked at the Decatur County Museum in Oberlin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Slim and Wilma Ball; step-father, John H. Peer; and a brother, John A. Peer.

Survivors include her husbnad, Bill of Oberlin; step-father, Lee Lehl, of Denver, Colo.; and a brother, John H. Ball of Denver, Colo.

Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m., at Pauls Funeral Home with the Rev. Judy Stricker officiating. Interment will follow in the Oberlin Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m., and Wednesday from 8 a.m., until the time of service.

Memorials may be given in her name.
