OBERLIN --?Walter William Mosier, 84, died Wednesday (Sept. 20, 2006) at Decatur Health Systems in Oberlin.

He was born Nov. 11, 1921, to George Abner and Grace (Rhamy) Mosier, in Rawlins County. He was raised on a farm north of Ludell and attended Atwood schools.

On Oct. 9, 1955, he married Lillian I. (Lemman) Miller. They farmed southwest of Oberlin. He was also employed by the City of Oberlin and worked for Anderson Implement. In 1961, they moved to Oberlin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one step-daughter, Irene Dye; three brothers; seven step-brothers; and three step-sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian of Oberlin; one son, William of Oberlin; one step-son, Jerry Miller and wife, Cheryl of Oberlin; one step-son-in-law, Don Dye of Bushton; three daughters, Wuanita Stoney and husband, Jerry of Oberlin, Patsy Bowlby of Geneseo, Kan., and Fern Mosier of Oberlin; two step-daughters, Lou Kernsenbrock and husband, Bill of Colby and Peggy North of Salina; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin, with the Rev. Royce Leitner officiating. Interment will follow at the Oberlin Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday from 1-8 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until the time of service.

Memorials may be given to the Decatur County Good Samaritan Center in Oberlin.
