Hylton, Terwilliger wed

STRATTON -- Julie Hylton of Stratton, formerly of Geneva, and Shawn Terwilliger of Stratton, were united in marriage June 17, 2006, at the Lakeview Lodge near Stratton with the Rev. Richard Melano officiating.

Parents of the couple are Kevin and Connie Hylton of McCook, formerly of Geneva, and Darroll and Sherry Terwilliger, also of McCook.

The bride's grandfather is Carl Hamm of North Loop. Grandparents of the bridegroom are Raymond and Vena Haller of Grand Junction, Colo., Shirley and Bill Patton of Trenton and the late Wiley and Fern Terwilliger. The bridegroom's great-grandmother is Vera Haller of Longmont, Colo.

The bride wore an ivory colored full length dress with a veil. The bridesmaids wore spaghetti strap buttercup colored full length gowns.

The maid of honor was the bride's sister, Elizabeth Hylton of McCook. Bridesmaids were the bride's aunt, Penny Dickenson of Fairmont and Kendra Hunter of McCook. The bride's cousin, Anna Hamm, of Fairmont, served as the junior bridesmaid.

The flower girls were Destiny Boone, the bridegroom's daughter and Holly Hylton, the daughter of the bride and bridegroom.

The bridegroom wore a light blue vest, a white shirt with a bow-tie and black jeans. All the men in the bridal party were similarly attired. The best man was Darin Miner of McCook. Bridegroomsmen were Travis Porter of Beatrice, and Tony Mizner of Geneva. The bride's cousin, Leroy Dickenson of Fairmont, served as the junior bridegroomsman.

The ringbearer was the bridegroom's second cousin, Alex Satchell of Denver, Colo.

Special guests included the bride's niece Candice Lundquist and the son of the bride and bridegroom, Travis Terwilliger.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of McCook High School. She is a homemaker. The bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of McCook High School and is employed at Timber Creek Homes in Stratton, where the couple is making their home.
