MARYSVILLE, Kan. -- Georgia L. Johnson, 82, formerly of Oberlin, died Tuesday ( May 23, 2006) at CMH in Marysville, Kan.

She was born June 8, 1923, at Dresden, to Milo and Edna (Whartman) Rhodes.

On July 16, 1938, she married Robert M. Coleman at Hoxie, Kan. On Oct. 28, 1959, she married Lowell Johnson.

She worked in the Oberlin Locker and for Dairy Co. and retired from Good Samaritan at the age of 80.

She was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Lions Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lowell in 1988; sisters, Helen Randolph and Dorothy Rhodes; and brothers Doron Rhodes and Delbert Rhodes.

Survivors include her sons, Robert D. Coleman and wife, Josiane of Lynn Haven, Fla., Jerry W. Cole and wife, Betty of Marysville, Kan.; daughters Virginia and husband, John Vasey of Leesburg, Fla.; a brother, Milo Rhodes of Casper, Wyo.; a sister, Nelda Vaughn of Oberlin; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 9 a.m., Tuesday, at Marysville Berean Church and 3 p.m., Tuesday, at Oberlin Assembly of God Church.

Visitation will be 3 to 9 p.m., Monday, at the Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville, and one hour prior to services at the Oberlin Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in the Oberlin Cemetery.

Kinsley Mortuary of Marysville is in charge of arrangements.
