OBERLIN -- Vivian Laurene (Cilek) Bishop, 95, died Wednesday (May 10, 2006) at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kan.

She was born June 27, 1910, in rural Jennings, Kan., to John And Barie (Hess) Cilek.

She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde Bishop on Oct. 22, 1986; four sisters, Grace Cilek, Ida Reynolds, Alfrieda Weber and Loretta Frickey; and a nephew, Harwood Chandler.

She is survived by two nephews, Robert Chandler of Flora Vista, N.M. and Terry Frickey of Florida City, Fla.; and two nieces, Sharon Bliss of Kissemmee, Fla., and Shirley Martin of Miami, Fla.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, at Pauls Funeral Home of Oberlin, with the Rev. Doug Hasty officiating. Interment will be in the Oberlin Cemetery.

Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, and Tuesday, 8 a.m. until the time of the service.

Memorials may be given in her name to Oberlin United Methodist Church or the Decatur County Museum.
