Krista and Trevor Hieter

Kristal Elaine Ariana Solko and Trevor William Hieter were married Feb. 18, 2006.

Parents of the bride are Kenneth and Gwendlyn Solko of McCook. Parents of the bridegroom are Roger and Julie Clark of Farnam and Larry and Sharon Hieter of Lexington. Honored guest was the bride's grandmother, Vesta Gilbert of McCook, formerly of Oberlin.

The bride wore her mother's wedding gown, which was antique white in color, adorned with pearls and had a two-foot Bateau train. The mother of the bride made the veil using an antique mantilla comb and four feet of antique lace. The bride made her own bouquet with burgundy, white and stargazer lilies, entwined with her mother's locket holding a photo of the bride's late grandfather, Denzel Gilbert.

The bridegroom wore a black suit, burgundy shirt and silver tie.

The maid of honor was Robin Shipley of McCook. She wore a pink blouse and black skirt, her bouquet of lilies was also made by the bride.

The best man was Steve Bales Jr. of McCook. He wore a burgundy shirt and black slacks.

The flower girl was Bridget Patterson, niece of the bridegroom, of Lexington. She wore a pink lace dress matching the bride's bouquet.

The ring bearer was Tyler, the couple's son, who wore an outfit matching his father's.

The bride's personal attendant was Tara Patterson, the bridegroom's sister, of Lexington.

A reception followed the ceremony at Kelley Creek Pub. The reception was hosted by Sherrel Adams, aunt of the bride, of McCook.

Cake servers were Sharon Frick of Herndon and Sherrel Adams of McCook, both aunts of the bride, and Lori Fritson of Cozad, aunt of the bridegroom. The dance was hosted by Kenneth Solko, father of the bride. Music was provided by Tom Haag of McCook.

The bride is a self-employed designer and the bridegroom is employed by Paulsen, Inc.

The couple is making their home in Indianola and plan to honeymoon in Cancun.
