CAMBRIDGE -- Dorthy Tines of Cambridge died Monday (March 20, 2006) at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

She was born north of Cambridge, Aug. 8, 1923, to Charles and Maude (Campbell) Pickel. She attended Cambridge schools.

On Sept. 29, 1941, she married Raymond "Shorty" Tines. He preceded her in death in November 1997. The couple made their home on the family farm east of Bartley.

The couple retired from the farm in 1995 and moved to Parkside Manor in Cambridge.

She was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Altar Society

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, "Shorty" Tines; and a sister, Fay Balcolm.

She is survived by three daughters, Cecelia and husband, Ron Neseth of Grand Island, Beth Ann and husband, Greg Macy of Lebanon, and Martha Roe of McCook; four sons, Ed and wife, Sharon Tines of Cambridge, Chuck and wife, Barb A. tines, William "Dude" and wife, Alice Tines and Tom and wife, Barb Tines, all of Venango; a sister, Ruth Warnock of Cambridge; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren

Mass of Christian Burial was Saturday at St. John's the Baptist Catholic Church in Cambridge with the Rev. Paul Witt of Indianola officiating. Interment was at the Bartley Cemetery.

Lockenour-Jones Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
