Nina R. (Lintner) Schmid

ATWOOD -- Nina R. (Lintner) Schmid, 97, died Tuesday (Jan. 3, 2006) at the Prairie Senior Living Complex in Colby, Kan.

She was born Jan. 26, 1908, to Richard "Monty" and Lena (Burk) Lintner on the family farm northwest of Atwood. She attended the Hawkeye School.

She married James P. Schmid on Sept. 27, 1932. The couple made their home in Atwood.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Lena Lintner; her husband, James in 1975; and a sister, Mary Lintner.

Survivors include cousins and good friends.

Services will be Friday, 10:30 a.m., at the United Methodist Church in Atwood with the Rev. Terry McGuire officiating. Interment will be in the Atwood Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, 2-8 p.m., at Williams Funeral Home in Atwood and Friday, before services, at the church.

Memorials are being accepted in her name at the Prairie Senior Living Complex in Colby.
