CURTIS -- Roy Davis, 84, died Dec. 9, 2005, at Sunset Haven Nursing Home in Curtis.

He was born May 28, 1921, near White to Elmer E. and Martha Hoschouer Davis.

He married Marian Candace Bailey on April 18, 1941, in Norton. The couple made their home on a farm southwest of Curtis.

He was a member of the Maywood Christian Church and was involved with Friendship Force as a goodwill ambassador.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Willis and Les; five sisters, Anna Wood, Mabel Muirhead, Peg Brown, Maude Flock and Thelma Fenton; and son-in-law, Don Sherlock.

Survivors include his wife, Marian of Curtis; three daughters, Cathy Dumont of Omaha, Letty and husband, Lorry Lipparelli of Elko, Nev., and Diane and husband, Mike Towery of McCook; three sons, Kenneth and wife, Cathy Davis of McCook, Scott and wife, Linda Davis of Maywood and Doug and wife, Sue Davis of Ceresco; one sister, Edna and husband, Virgil Towne of Curtis; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday, 1 p.m., at the Maywood Christian Church in Maywood with the Rev. Dale Heimer officiating. Interment will be in the Maywood Cemetery.

Visitation is today, until 5 p.m., at Blase-Wetzel Funeral Home in Curtis.

Memorials are being accepted in his name.
