Rebecca and Robert Lampe

Rebecca Brooks and Robert Lampe were united in marriage Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005, at the United Methodist Church in McCook with the Rev. Dr. Jeffery Thurman officiating.

Parents of the couple are Larry and Shirley Brooks of McCook and Larry and Ruth Lampe of Hillsboro, Iowa.

Grandparents of the couple are Orville and Ruth Stewart of Indianola, the late JD Brooks, Norma Brooks of Indianola, Albert and Viola Lampe of Hillsboro, Iowa, and the late Clem and Julette Mohrfeld.

The bride wore a white luster satin gown adorned with schiffli lace and crystal beading. It had a hug-the-shoulder scalloped neckline accented with crystal beading and an A-line bodice enhanced with crystal beaded schiffli lace and a scalloped basque waistline. The Castillion cathedral-length train was heavily decorated with schiffli lace and crystal beading and featured covered button to the hem. She carried a bouquet of yellow and peach roses accented with lavender wildflowers and greenery.

The bridegroom wore a black tuxedo with silver vest and tie.

Matron of honor was Jill Truksa of Seward, cousin of the bride. She wore a lavender satin, strapless floor-length gown accented with beading and a sash around the waist. She carried a bouquet similar to the brides.

Best man was Jay Lampe of Roland, Iowa, brother of the bridegroom. He wore a black tuxedo with lavender and black vest and black tie.

Flowergirls were Cayleigh McConville and Gracelyn Fries, cousins of the bride. They wore white sleeveless floor-length gowns accented with lavender tulle bodices. Ringbearer was Alec Bunger, cousin of the bride. He wore a black tuxedo with lavender and black vest and black tie. Candlelighters were Danielle Stritt and Aimee Sughroue, cousins of the bride. They wore ivory tea-length dresses with a halter necklines and ruffled hemlines.

Ushers were brothers of the bride Jeff Brooks and Jared Brooks, both of Indianola. They wore black tuxedos with silver and black vests and black ties. The bride's personal attendant was Shannon Bunger of McCook, cousin of the bride.

Guestbook attendants were Jen McConville of Indianola, cousin of the bride, and Lindsey Lampe of Roland, sister-in-law of the bridegroom. Music was provided by pianist Evie Caldwell of McCook and soloist Lisa Bortner of North Platte.

A reception and dance followed the ceremony at the Republican River Valley Event Center in McCook. Hosts included Dutch and Cindy Hughes of McCook, Sean and Tara Fries of Indianola, Jill Lampe of Davenport, Iowa, and Angela Lampe of Des Moines, Iowa.

The bride is employed at Community Hospital of McCook as a surgical nurse. The bridegroom is employed by KJ River Ranch/Industrial Pipelines of Indianola.

They are making their home in Indianola.
