BARTLEY -- Frank G. Michener, 67, died Monday (Oct. 17, 2005) at Cambridge Memorial Hospital in Cambridge.

He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Perley E. and Esther M. (Morrison) Michener.

He entered the U.S. Navy in 1960 and trained as an aviation electronics technician. He served in the Vietnam War. He reenlisted and received an honorable discharge in 1977.

He moved to Bartley in April 1982. He met Caroline Lawson in 1983 and became her life partner, helping her to raise her two daughters.

He was a communications technician and a jeweler.

Survivors include life partner, Caroline Lawson of Bartley; her children, Carrie Lawson of McCook and Denys Lawson of Lincoln; one brother, David Caperton and wife, Elaine of Indianapolis, Ind.; two daughters, Ronda Lee Michener and Jeannette Lee Michener; two sons, Frank Joseph Michener and James Allen Michener.

Services will be Wednesday, 11 a.m., at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge with Daniel Ogorzolka officiating. Inurnment will be in the Bartley Cemetery.

Military committal will be by the Bartley VFW William Wright Post.

Memorials are being accepted in his name at the Bartley Ambulance Squad.

Lockenour-Jones Mortuary of Cambridge is in charge of arrangements.
