ATWOOD -- Frances Marie (Barrett) Reardon, 95, died Sunday (Oct. 9, 2005) at the Good Samaritan Center in Atwood.

She was born on Oct. 17, 1909, to Edmond E. and Charlotte Ann (Priddle) Barrett in Haven, Kan. The family moved to a farm south of Dodge City when she was four.

She married Joseph Richard Reardon on Aug. 29, 1931, in Dodge City. The couple moved to Atwood the next day.

She was a homemaker and she worked at stores, school cafeterias and the Atwood Public Library. She was a member of the First Christian Church and Radiant Chapter Order of Eastern Star No. 229 in Atwood.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert and Cecil; sisters, Alice and Leota; husband, Joseph; great-granddaughter, Amanda; and son-in-law, Jim Kroetch.

Survivors include her daughter, Bernadine Kroetch of Fernley, Nev.; sister, Ruth Newport of Liberal, Kan.; four grandchildren; five great-grandsons; four step great-grandsons; two step great-granddaughters; one great-great-granddaughter; and other relatives and friends.

Services will be Wednesday, 2 p.m., at the Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Atwood with the Rev. Christine Edwards officiating. Graveside services and interment will follow at the Atwood Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation is today, until 8 p.m., at the Williams Funeral Home of Atwood.

Memorials are being accepted in her name at the Christian Church of Atwood or the Atwood Good Samaritan Center.
