SYRACUSE -- Ruth V. Poush, 81, formerly of McCook, died Saturday (May 28, 2005), at the Good Samaritan Center in Syracuse.

She was born Nov. 10, 1923, in Hastings to Elmer and Christina (Glantz) Yost.

She married Moner Poush on May 15, 1947, in Hastings. She was a school teacher and librarian. She was formerly of McCook and Hastings, and moved to Syracuse in 1987.

She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, and was involved with the quilters of the church. She helped out at the local Syracuse library.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband.

Survivors include oen daughter, Barb and husband Scott Clark of Syracuse; two sisters, JoAnn and husband Bob Hall of Beaver City, and Donna and Cliff Renander of Omaha; one brother, Dick Yost and wife Marie of Lincoln; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services were today at 9 a.m. at the Fusselman-Wymore Home Chapel in Syracuse with the Rev. John Finster officiating. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. at the Cambridge Cemetery in Cambridge.

Memorials may be given to the Good Samaritan Center in Syracuse, the Handi Bus, or the Syracuse Rescue Squad.

Fusselman-Wymore Funeral Home of Syracuse was in charge of arrangements.
