Ruth Marie DeBaufre Morgan died Sunday, May 1, 2005, at Community Hospital of McCook.

She was born Dec. 21, 1928, in Langhorne, Penn., and was adopted by William and Elizabeth DeBaufre. Ruth's early years were spent in New Jersey. The family moved to Lincoln in 1931. She attended Prescott and Sheridan grade schools, Irving Junior High and Lincoln High graduating in 1946. She attend the University of Nebraska, graduating in 1949.

Ruth married Dr. Donal Harlan Morgan on Aug. 21, 1949, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church at Lincoln.

She was preceded in death by her birth parents; adoptive parents; and step-mother.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Donal; four sons, Donal and wife, Juanita of Las Cruces, N.M., David and wife, Tanya of Danbury, Michael and wife, Jill of Indianola and Richard and wife, Roseann of Mossy Rock, Wash.; 11 grandchildren, Scott, April, Chelsea, Miles, Mike, Jr., Angel, Faith, Caleb, Nathan, Deacon and Ricky Morgan; nine great-grandchildren, Sarah, Mason, Hannah, Hailey, Matthew, Felicity, Isiah, Josiah, and Joylynn; three stepsisters, Glenda Wilson, Penny Swiebel and Martha Hurst: and one stepbrother, Charles Imm.

Services will be at 10 a.m., on Friday, May 6, 2005, at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in McCook with the Rev. Samuel Williams officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery at McCook.

Memorials may be given in her name to St. Alban's Altar Guild.
