Nadeen Allen

Nadeen Elizabeth Allen, age 72, died Sunday (April 17, 2005) at Memorial Community Care in Aurora.

She was born July 16, 1932 to Guy and Ruth (Rickard) Warren in Indianola. She graduated from Indianola High School. After high school, she completed the courses necessary to become a school teacher. Later, she took courses to complete her nurses aide training.

On April 27, 1953, she married Wayne Allen. They had three children; Kevin, Pamela and Scott. She continued to teach school at Holbrook, Hendley, Perry and many other one room school houses in the area. Over the years Nadeen also worked at nursing homes in Oxford, Arapahoe and Cambridge until she retired. The couple moved to Aurora in 2003.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Derald Warren.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne of Aurora; three children, Kevin and wife, Jeanie Allen of Aurora, Pamela and husband, Myron Guthrie of Indianola and Scott Allen of Aurora; two brothers, Ron and wife, Gloria Warren of McCook and Homer and wife, Claudine Warren of Braidwood, Ill.; a sister, June Atkinson of Lafayette, Ind.; and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, at the Cambridge Cemetery with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora.
