RIVERSIDE, Calif. -- Rachel Lydia (Cook) Rousselle, 96, died Friday, March 4, 2005.

She was born Feb. 22, 1909, to George and Katherine Cook.

On Sept. 10, 1927, she married Robert Rousselle. The couple farmed in the Culbertson area until 1954. They then went into the motel business in Oklahoma City, Okla. They later owned a lodge in Scottsdale, Ariz., and then moved to Huntington Beach, Calif., where they retired. After 33 years in Huntington Beach, they moved to a retirement home in Riverside, Calif.

Survivors include her husband, Bob; son, Leo Rousselle and wife, Betty of Culbertson; daughters, Beulah Brown and husband, Derrell of Mira Loma, Calif., Melva Steiner and husband, Gus of Hacienda Heights, Calif., and Luella Harris and husband, Robert of Mission Viejo, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and eighth great-great-grandchildren.

Services were March 8, 2005, at Acheson and Grahm Chapel in Riverside. Burial was March 11 at the Olivewood Memorial Park in Riverside.
