Minnie Marie Huff, 80, died Tuesday (Dec. 14, 2004) at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

She was born April 27, 1924, to Isaac Johnathan Delroy and Leila Dayle (Barton) Hoschouer in Maywood. She graduated from Maywood High School in 1942.

On Jan. 27, 1945, she married Amor Charles Huff in Marysville, Kan. To this union five children were born. The couple made their home in McCook, where Minnie helped keep books for the family business, Ernst Dairy. She also taught at Peace Lutheran Creative Preschool for 17 years.

She was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church, served as a Sunday School Teacher, leader of Life-Light, member of Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Prayer Chain and she volunteered hours of time quilting for missions and baking cookies for the children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ethel Christensen; and two brothers, Kenneth and Lyle Hoschouer.

Survivors include her husband, Amor Huff of McCook; son, Allen Huff and wife, Jean of Sutherland; four daughters, Charlene and husband, Gene Wegener of Bellevue, Talana and husband, Martin Roy of Overton, Becky and husband, Dan Beirow of Minden and Nancy and husband, Randy Brant of David City; two sisters, Sylvia Rucker of McCook and Delma Snyder of Maywood; two sisters-in-law, Jeanette Hoschouer of Chicago, Ill., and Marian Hoschouer of Ames, Iowa; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services are Friday, 10 a.m., at Peace Lutheran Church with the Rev. Randy Wahl officiating. Interment will be in Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, 2 p.m.

Visitation is today until 5 p.m., and Thursday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Friends may go online at www.carpenterbreland.com to extend condolences.
