COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Frances E. Teeter, 88, of Benkelman, died Thursday (Aug. 19, 2004) at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colo.

She was born June 1, 1916, to Fay and Della (Gagnon) Louch in Dundy County.

On Jan. 15, 1936, she married Foster N. Teeter. She worked as a nutritionist at Sarah Ann Hester Home in Benkelman.

She was active in the Extension Club for many years. She attended the Friends Church for many years and attended the Trinity Baptist Church of Benkelman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Foster Teeter; infant twin brothers; sister, Wilma Smith; and one brother, Howard.

Survivors include her son, Gene and wife, Ellen of Rossville, Kan.; daughter, Kay McDermed and husband, Don of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sisters, Noma Sanchez of Torrance, Calif., Fayette West and husband, Al of Pueblo West, Colo., and Margurete Donohue and husband, Les of Benkelman; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.

Services are Tuesday, 11 a.m., at Forch Funeral Chapel in Benkelman with the Rev. Robert Sander officiating. Interment will be in Benkelman Cemetery.

Visitation is today until 7 p.m., at the funeral chapel in Benkelman.

Memorials may be given in her name.
