PERKINS PAVILION -- Anna Knepp, 91, died Monday (March 22, 2004) in Perkins Pavilion.

She was born July 15, 1912, to Fred and Lizzie (Krull) Freitag in Glenvil. She graduated from Mascot High School in Mascot in 1930.

On June 1, 1935, she married Guy S. Knepp in Holdrege. They farmed in the Carter area northwest of Orleans. They then moved to Huntley where she was a cook at the Huntley Public School for 14 years. She moved to Hastings in 1981.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hastings and a past member of the Methodist Women's Group. She was a past member of and very active in the Methodist Church in Huntley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Guy in 1975; two daughters, Roberta Knepp and Donna Knepp; a step-daughter, Viola Klinkman; three sons-in-law, Walter Hoesch, Ivan Klinkman, LeRoy Menke; and grandson, Mitchel Menke.

Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy Menke of Grand Island; seven grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services are Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at Butler-Volland Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Ford officiating. Interment will be in Alma Cemetery in Alma, Thursday, 3 p.m., with her grandson, Rev. David Hoesch officiating.

Visitation is today, 12-9 p.m., and Thursday, 9 a.m. until service time.

Memorials may be given in her name to Good Samaritan Village in Perkins Pavilion.
