ARAPAHOE -- Margaret G. Meyer, 90, of Arapahoe, died Monday (Jan. 5, 2004) at CA Mues Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe.

She was born March 31, 1913, to John and Clara (Bisping) Fuchs in Howells.

She graduated high school from Stanton High School in 1931.

On Sept. 12, 1933, she married Herman Meyer in Norfolk. The couple made their home in Stanton. She worked part-time at various jobs including school cook. In 1973, she moved to Arapahoe where she worked as a cook in Arapahoe Public Schools and Hunt Nebraska of Arapahoe before retiring.

She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Stanton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman; two brothers; six sisters; and grandson, Kirk Kniep.

Survivors include two daughters, Fayne A. and husband, Tom Kniep of Poplar Grove, Ill., and Ethel K. and husband, Doyle Watson of Arapahoe; two brothers, Warren and wife, Georgene Fuchs of Frazee, Minn., and Lawrence and wife, Julie Fuchs of Belden; two sisters, Helen Werkmeister of Stanton and Esther Barjenbruch of Columbus; and five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services are Friday, 11 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church in Arapahoe with the Rev. Hyeongdong Baek officiating. Committal services are Saturday, 11:30 a.m., at Stanton Cemetery in Stanton.

Visitation is today, 1-8 p.m., and Thursday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m., at Wenburg Funeral Home in Arapahoe and prior to services at the church.
