HOXIE, Kan. -- Delmar Foster, 62, of Jennings died Friday (Nov. 28, 2003) at Sheridan County Hospital in Hoxie, Kan.

He was born April 23, 1941, to Ray William and Marie (Koeperich) Foster in Sheridan County, Kan. He was raised in Sheridan County and attended Solomon Valley School. He graduated from Sheridan Community High School. From 1960-1965, he lived on the family farm in Sheridan County, in Hoxie, Kan., from 1968-1993, and he moved back to the family farm in 1993.

On Aug. 20, 1960, he married Pat Wagoner in Hoxie. He was a farmer/truck driver.

He was a member of the Hoxie BPO Elks Lodge, National Rifle Association, Kansas Trapshooting Association and Pheasants Forever.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Pat of Jennings; two sons, Michael Foster and his partner, Terry Rogers of Dallas, Texas and Chad Foster and wife, Christy of Lubbock, Texas; one daughter, Coleen Boxberger and husband, Steve of Russell, Kan.; and three grandchildren.

Services are Tuesday, 2 p.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Ben Saw officiating. Interment will be in Adell Cemetery.

Visitation is today 5-8 p.m., and Tuesday, 8 a.m., until service time.

A vigil service is today, 7 p.m., at the church in Leoville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his name to the Elks National Foundation or to donor's choice.
