Charlotte Creasman

ELSIE -- Charlotte Creasman, 94, died Saturday (Sept. 22, 2001) at the Manor Nursing Home in Imperial.

She was born Aug. 10, 1907, near Indianola, to James and Edith (Derrick) Powers. She grew up on the family farm, and graduated from Havana High School, which was north of Indianola, in 1925.

On Dec. 23, 1927, she married Bill Creasman. They made their home near Indianola, and moved to Wauneta in 1940. She worked as a store clerk while living in Wauneta. In 1964 they moved to Elsie. He preceded her in death in 1985, and in 1997 she moved to the Manor Nursing Home in Imperial.

She was a member of the Elsie Catholic Church and the Altar Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; two brothers; and four sisters.

Survivors include two daughters, Patsy Teply of Imperial, and Joyce Hofman of McCook; two sons, Billie of Custer, S.D., and Roger and wife, Sharon of Elsie; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Mass of Christian Burial services will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. CDT, at the Wallace Catholic Church with the Rev. David Drewelow officiating. Interment will be at the Elsie Cemetery.

The rosary will be recited Tuesday, 7 p.m. MDT, at the Elsie Catholic Church.

Memorials may be given in her name.
