LINCOLN -- Elinor D. Brown, 86, of Lincoln, died Saturday (Dec. 8, 2001).

She was born July 25, 1915, at Curtis to Forrest Earl and Blanche (Taylor) Dillman.

She was an office manager.

She was a member of the First Congregational Church of McCook, the Eastern Star Chapter No. 86, PEO, and the Golden Kiwanis Club

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dr. Harold E. Brown; one brother, Forrest Dillman; and one sister, Dorthy Gray.

Survivors include one sister-in-law, Dorothy Owen of Walnut Creek, Calif.; two nephews, Richard W. Gray and wife, Lee of Denton, and James M. Gray of Lincoln; one niece, Mary Schmuck of Lincoln; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews. Graveside services and interment will be Tuesday, 3 p.m., at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Omaha with Bob Chitwood officiating.

Visitation is from 6 p.m. tonight to noon Tuesday at the Roper and Sons Funeral Services of Lincoln.

Memorials may be given in her name to the Masonic-Eastern Star, the P.E.O. Home in Beatrice, or to Eastmont Towers.
