Edna M. (Stennett) Morris

Edna M. (Stennett) Morris of Denver, Colo., died Dec. 12, 2001, at Littleton, Colo. She was 91 years old. Services were Dec. 15 at the Fairmont Ivy Chapel. Interment was at the Fairmont Cemetery. John R. Riter Jr. officiated. Visitation took place one hour before the services. She was born Aug. 11, 1910, at McCook, and graduated from McCook High School in 1927. Her parents were Charles Huston and Myrta Alice (Morgan) Stennett. She married Joseph Doddridge Morris in McCook on April 8, 1933. They lived for a short time in Broken Bow and later in Grand Island. Mr. Morris was transferred to Denver in 1943 with the Long Lines division of AT&T. In Denver they lived many years in the University Park and Windsor Garden areas. Mrs. Morris is survived by a daughter, Marlyn and husband, John of Buena Vista, Colo.; a son, Charles and wife, Betty Jean, of Oconomowoc, Wis.; one brother, Les and wife, Margaret of Longmont, Colo.; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; eight great-step-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph on March 18, 1988; an infant daughter, Nancy Jo; three sisters, Irene Ogier, Adelene Kvasnicka, and Ruth who died in infancy; one brother, LaVerne; and one half-brother, Fred.
