Lenna 'Linnie' Ellen Donjon

IMPERIAL -- Lenna "Linnie" Ellen Donjon, 92, died Friday (Feb. 1, 2002) at Prairie Vista Care Center in Holyoke, Colo.

She was born Aug. 4, 1909, to Willis and Lora Mullanix in Putnam County, Mo.

On Feb. 17, 1931, she married Louis Joseph Donjon in McCook. They made their home south of Champion and moved to a farm west of Imperial in 1945. She worked at the Imperial Bakery before taking a job in the Chase County Hospital, where she worked as a nursing aid for 22 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis; one brother, Laurence; and two sisters, Lillian and Elizabeth.

Survivors include two sons, Glen of Scottsbluff, and Donald and wife, Marilyn of Ovid, Colo.; three daughters, Rita Kropp of Holyoke, Colo., Mary Ellen and husband, Rex Smith of Fort Collins, Colo., Barbara and husband, DuWayne Kuehn of Westminster, Colo.; four sisters, Lena Lindsey, of Fort Morgan, Colo., Dollie Browning of Imperial, Mary Helen Kopisch of Forsyth, Mo., and Betty Mueller of North Platte; one sister-in-law, Mary Mullanix of Imperial; 20 grandchildren ; and 25 great-grandchildren.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday,10:30 a.m., St. Patrick's Church in Imperial with the Rev. Greg Pawloski and the Rev. Dan Zimmerschied of Holyoke, Colo. officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery at Imperial.

The rosary will be recited today, 7 p.m., at St. Patrick's Church.

Memorials may be given in her name.
