Clarence Calvin Tracy

ARAPAHOE -- Clarence Calvin Tracy, 75, died Sunday (Sept. 1, 2002) at his home in Arapahoe.

He was born June 9, 1927, to Guy and Elizabeth (Payne) Tracy at Wilsonville. He graduated from Wilsonville High School in 1944. After high school, he served in the U.S. Navy from Sept. 13, 1945 to Oct. 24, 1946. After his discharge, he moved to Arapahoe and began work for Weverka Gravel Company.

On Oct. 28, 1950, he married June Elaine Huxoll at St. Matthew Lutheran Church of rural Arapahoe. He worked for many years as a truck driver for Hoffman Inc., Longsine Brothers, H.A.C., and Blue Flame Propane Company. He worked for many years for the Arapahoe Coop and retired in 2000.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Wilsonville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harvey and Ed; and one sister, Rachel Effie Park.

Survivors include his wife, June, of Arapahoe; one son, Terry Tracy and wife, Deanne of Arapahoe; three brothers, Howard Tracy and wife, Wilma of Vancouver, Wash., Charles Harrison Tracy of Mountain Home, Idaho and Fredrick Tracy and wife, Billy of Kansas City, Kan.; and two grandchildren. Graveside services will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at the Arapahoe Cemetery with the Rev. Carl Lilienkamp officiating. Visitation is today until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
