He worked for International Harvester, Sticklers Auto-Lite, Sunglow Dairy, and TRW before retiring. Raymond and Roberta were loyal long time members of the First Christian Church of McCook.

He is survived by his children, Kathleen (Jon) Almquist of Sierra Vista, Ariz., retired Lt. Col. Dennis (Jan) Drain of Layton, Utah, Anita Drain of Hay Springs and Richard (Sandra Stahl) Drain of Phoenix, Ariz. Raymond leaves a legacy of nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
