Memorial services for Linda C. Jackson will be conducted from the Nelson-Harris Funeral Home in Holdrege on Saturday, 10 a.m., with the Rev. Murray Jones officiating. Inurnment of the ashes will be in the Prairie Home Cemetery at Holdrege.

Linda Carol Jackson, 56 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday (April 2, 2003) at her home. Linda was born Nov. 1, 1946, at Falls City, the second of five children of Arthur and Cecelia "Becky" (Wallace) Lynch. She grew up and attended school in Falls City. Following her education, she later achieved her General Equivalency Diploma and then pursued her cosmetology license in Kearney.

On Aug. 3, 1963, Linda was united in marriage to Ervin "Sonny" Jackson at Falls City and to this union two children were born, Tony and Sheila. In 1976, the couple moved from Omaha to Holdrege and made their home seven and one half miles north of Holdrege. Linda then opened her own salon, Jackson's Country Classics, north of Holdrege. She also was employed by Sunmart in Holdrege and later at Casey's General Store (west) at the time of her death.

Linda enjoyed all kinds of crafts, especially her famous "wall dolls" she sold to many people in Holdrege and also loved to collect clothes and earrings.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Sonny of Holdrege; son, Tony Jackson of Holdrege; daughter, Sheila and husband, Gary Snyder of McCook; one granddaughter, Madison Snyder of McCook; four brothers, Clyde Lynch of Omaha, Gary Lynch of Yuma, Colo., Mike Lynch and wife, Linda and Tom Lynch all of Omaha; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Her parents preceded her in death.

There will be no visitation, the family has chosen cremation.

A memorial has been established in her memory.

The Nelson-Harris Funeral Home in Holdrege is in charge of arrangements.
