Negotiations, capital improvement projects on college agenda

NORTH PLATTE, Nebraska -- The Mid-Plains Community College board of governors will conduct a closed session and possibly take action on negotiations with the Mid Plains Vocational Education Association at a regular meeting Wednesday.

The 6:30 p.m. regular meeting will follow a 4 p.m. work session in Room 200 of the W.W. Wood Building on the north campus of North Platte Community College, 1101 Halligan Drive in North Platte.

The work session will include a presentation about the NPCC south campus cafeteria project and a policy covering tuition waiver eligibility.

Action at the regular meeting will include election of officers, heating / ventilation / air conditioning replacement in the vacated Health Occupations wing, roof bids for Brooks Hall and True Hall on the McCook Community College campus, and purchase of welding equipment and welders through a grant.

The next meeting will be Jan. 23 in North Platte.
