A pair of pitchforks are temporarily at rest, coated with overnight snow. They'll soon find work delivering fodder to hungry farm animals, however, who require plenty of fuel to stoke internal fires during the current cold weather. Even so, every bit of snow is welcome, with McCook having received 9.35 inches of precipitation for the year as of midnight, 13.09 inches below normal for the date.
