McCook National Bank representative, Tom Bredvick (right), is pictured presenting Rebecca Sehnert, a junior at McCook High Schools, with the September "MNB Student of the Month Award" for the 20122013 school year. Also pictured is Jon Graff (left), Rebecca's nominating teacher. Rebecca maintains a 4.0 GPA and is involved in softball, track and diving as well as band, National Honor Society, Math Club, Student Council and various community organizations. The "MNB Student of the Month Award" is designed to recognize one area student, every month from September through April, for their accomplishments and hard work. Academics, extracurricular school activities, as well as other community activities are all factors in determining a winner. The award is open to area juniors and nominations for the award must be submitted by area teachers, guidance counselors, or administrative staff of the student's school to be considered. As seniors, those eight individual monthly winners will be eligible to apply for one of two $500 tuition scholarships. MNB will host a reception for the eight monthly winners and their families each spring and announce the two scholarship winners at that time.
