The family of John R. and Virgie (Horinek) Burk of Atwood, Kansas are hosting an open house in honor of the couple's 60th wedding anniversary. They were married Oct. 14, 1952 at St. Cyril's and Methodius Church in rural Atwood. The reception is Sunday, July 29, 2-4 p.m. at the Columbian Hall, Lake Road in Atwood. Their family includes children Dan and Judi Burk of Denver, Colorado, Diane and Mike Sis of Atwood, John C. and Melanie Burk of Bliss, Idaho, Joan and Bill Jr. Cahoj of Atwood, Betty and Dave Taylor of Atlanta, Kansas, Allen and Sonja Burk of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
