KEARNEY, Nebraska -- Ralph F. Dahlstedt, 69 of Kearney, died, Monday, June 4, 2012, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Friday, June 8, 2012, at First Lutheran Church in Kearney. The Revs. Eric Lesher and Rebecca McDermott will officiate. Interment will be held privately prior to the service at Moses Hill Cemetery near Holdrege. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. He was born on Sept. 9, 1942, in Holdrege to Carl and Lucille (Carlson) Dahlstedt.

He grew up in Loomis. He was a 1960 graduate of Loomis High School. He attended Kearney State College. He was married to Margene Olson on Aug. 26, 1966, in Holdrege. They later divorced. He moved to Kearney and worked for Good Samaritan Society. He also lived in McCook where he worked in sales for McCook Monuments.

He was a member of the church, Kearney Optimist Club where he held local and state offices, loved fishing with grandkids, avid golfer and time spent with family.

Survivors include his son, Jason and wife, Jenae of Kearney; daughter, Misha Eilers and husband, Adam of Kearney; grandchildren, Dylan and Addison Dahlstedt, Ethan, Preston and Brooklyn Eilers; brothers, Carle Dahlstedt and wife, Arlene of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Lee Ray Dahlstedt of Ragan, Nebraska; sisters, Alice Dzvibanek and husband, Richard of Livingston, Texas, and Ann Forrest and husband, Walt of Ravenna, Nebraska; special friend, Marla Larsen of Grand Island; aunts, several nieces and nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and brothers, Don and Fritz.
