Kirkpatrick to use insanity defense in murder case

McCOOK, Nebraska -- Lawyers for a 19-year-old Bartley, Nebraska, man accused of killing a 14-year-old McCook girl have filed a notice of intent that they will rely upon the insanity defense at trial. The notice of intent and an additional motion to suppress evidence were filed by the defense counsel for Stathis Kirkpatrick by the March 1 deadline.
