Dyle D. Fritsche

MAYWOOD, Nebraska -- Dyle D. Fritsche, 86, of Maywood, Nebraska, died Feb. 14, 2012, at Great Plains Regional Medical Center, North Platte, Nebraska. 

He was born Feb. 26, 1925, at home near Quick, Nebraska, son of William and Charlotte (Easton) Fritsche.

Dyle married Gertrude Jean Vaughn on Sept. 9, 1944, at Oberlin, Kansas; to this union nine children were born.

Dyle served his country in the Army from June 1945 to August 1946. 

Dyle farmed in the Maywood area. He enjoyed ballgames, car races, guns, western movies, and the Model A. He was a member of the Garden Prairie Methodist Church, the VFW and American Legion. 



Survivors include his three sons, Blaine (Nancy) Fritsche of Holdrege, Nebraska; Randy (Barbara) Fritsche of Maywood; Mark (Cindy) Fritsche of Maywood; four daughters, Sherryl (Lloyd) Wilke of Gibbon, Nebraska; Mary (Mike) Wurtele of Omaha, Nebraska; Nancy (Ron) Gottula of Lincoln, Nebraska; Anita (Mike) Peterson of Purdum, Nebraska; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; special friend, Delma Teel of McCook, Nebraska; along with extended family and friends. 



Dyle was preceded in death by wife, Gertrude Jean Fritsche in 2001; daughter, Karen Fritsche; son, Rodger Fritsche; and his parents.





Services will be held at First United Methodist Church in Curtis, Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Lana Fong officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Maywood Cemetery, Maywood, Nebraska.


Visitation will be held at Blase-Wetzel-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Curtis, Nebraska; Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, 1 - 8 pm. with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m.
