BIRD CITY, Kansas -- Raoma Jean (Purvis) Johnson, 78, died Saturday (Feb. 11, 2012), at the Good Samaritan Society in Atwood, Kansas.

She was born July 19, 1933, at Atwood, Kansas.

She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Christina Johnson.

Survivors include her husband, Harold M. "Mux" Johnson; sons, Ray Johnson of Bird City and Alan Johnson of Goodland, Kansas; sister, Yvonne Underwood of McCook; sister-in-law, Shirley Purvis of Hays, Kansas; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. CST, Thursday, at the Wesleyan Commuinity Church in Bird City, Kansas. Burial will follow at the Bird City Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday, 2-7 p.m., at Knodel Funeral Home, 202 S. Benton, in St. Francis, Kansas.

Memorials may be made to hospice services.
