CAMBRIDGE, Nebraska -- Timothy "Tim" T. Tillotson, 67, of Wilsonville, Nebraska, died Thursday, (Dec. 29, 2011), at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital.

He was born Sept. 3, 1944, in Wobum, Massachusetts, to Clyde L. and Pauline V. Eliker. He moved to Wilsonville with his mother at the age of 6 months. Tim lived in Utah and Colorado before the family settled again in Wilsonville in 1961.

On May 15, 1964, he married Sharon Vise in Wilsonville. He farmed for a while and later was an over-the-road trucker. In 1981, he opened and ran an auto repair shop in Wilsonville until his retirement.

He joined the Wilsonville Fire Department in 1970 and served many years as fire chief. He was on the Furnas County 911 Board, Southwest Nebraska Red Cross Board, and the Wilsonville Village Board.

He is preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Leonard Francis; and a brother, Robert Francis.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon of Wilsonville, son, Dayne and wife, Lisa Tillotson of Holdrege, Nebraska; daughter, Sarah Renner of McCook, Nebraska; two brothers, David Tillotson of Bauman, Oklahoma and Chester Francis of Wilsonville; four sisters, Delores "Dottie" French of Longmont, Colorado, Mary Karesh of Venango, Nebraska, Lenora Schilz of Oregon and Judy Elwood of Oberlin, Kansas; and five grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Jan. 21, 2012, 11 a.m. at the Wilsonville Baptist-Christian Church with Keith Theobald officiating. A private family inurnment is being planned.

Memorials may be left in his name at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge, which is in charge of arrangements.
