OBERLIN, Kansas -- Faye M. Miller, 90, died Wednesday (Aug. 3, 2011) in St. John, Kansas.

She was born Feb. 5, 1921, in rural Jennings, Kansas, to Loyal and Emma (Rohan) Griffin. She was raised in the Kanona, Kansas area. She went to Kanona Grade School and Jennings High School.

On July 22, 1939, she married Carroll Miller in Norton, Kansas. She lived on a farm near Kanona before moving to Oberlin in 2004, and finally moving to St. John recently.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Prairie Chapel Church, United Methodist Women, Sunshine Club and Royal Neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Bertha Griffin; infant children, Donald and Ardith; and sister, Gene Zimmerman Bouts.

Survivors include son, Dale and wife, Francy Miller of Oberlin; daughter, Rita and husband, Maurice Schaller of Larned, Kansas; sister, Donna and husband, Charles Lincoln of Oberlin; and two grandsons.

Funeral services are Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with John Paulson officiating. Interment is in Kanona Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday until 8 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Golden Age Center and Prairie Chapel Church.
