Wallen, Ward exchange vows

BOERNE, Texas -- Nichole Wallen and Justin Ward of McCook, Nebraska, were united in marriage on June 11, 2011, at the Marquardt Ranch in Boerne, Texas, with Cynthia Black officiating.

Parents of the couple are Tim and Phyllis Wallen of McCook, Michael and Chris Ward of San Antonio, Texas, and Tina and Kim Billinger of Hays, Kansas.

Grandparents of the bride are Bob and Carollee Wallen of McCook, Mary Heskett of McCook and the late Melvin Heskett.

Grandparents of the bridegroom are Royis Ward of Dallas, Texas, and the late Layton Ward.

The maid of honor was Alyssa Curl of Omaha, formerly of McCook. The best man and brother of the bride was Chris Wallen of Corpus Christi, Texas, also formerly of McCook.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Marquardt Ranch.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of McCook High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Nebraska Omaha, with a bachelor's degree in biotechnology. She is pursuing the master's degree program in curriculum and instruction at the University of Texas-Arlington. She is employed as a physics teacher at Floresville High School in Floresville, Texas.

The bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of McCook High School and a 2006 graduate of Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, with an associate degree in business. He is also a 2008 graduate of Hallmark College of Aeronautics and is employed as an aircraft maintainance technician in San Antonio, Texas.

The couple honeymooned immediately following the wedding at Nassau, Bahamas. They reside in Floresville, Texas.
