Grandparents of the couple are Virgle and Fern Stamper of Wellington, Dorothy Shimek of Jennings, Kansas, and Miriam Reitz of Lititz, Pennsylvania. Great grandmother is Florine Vernon of Oberlin, Kansas.

A wedding is planned for June 25, 2011 in Wellington.
