McCOOK, Nebraska -- Lucille Adelia Weber, 95, passed away Monday (March 7, 2011), at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook.

She was born May 7, 1915, in a sod house in Hitchcock County, Nebraska, the daughter of the late Conrad A. and Annie (Heizenreter) Wagner. Lucille grew up in the Culbertson community where she attended her sophomore year at Culbertson High School.

On Oct. 13, 1930, Lucille married Walter Weber in Atwood, Kansas. They farmed in the Culbertson and McCook area, moving to McCook in 1933. They moved to Trenton, Nebraska in 1938; returning to McCook in 1944, where she and Walter spent the remainder of their lives.

For 25 years, she was employed at Hesteds Variety Store. She was an 83 year member of the Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook and a member of the Farmeretts Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter on Nov. 24, 1992; her parents; four brothers, Oren, Amos, Reuben and Abraham Wagner; one sister, Rachel Zailer; two sons-in-law, Paul Cotton and Bill Elley; one daughter-in-law, Juanita Weber; one grandson, Tim Elley; and one great-grandson, Shaun Cromwell.

Lucille is survived by two sons, LeRoy Weber and wife, Henrietta of Moses Lake, Washington, and Larry D. Weber and his wife, Suzan of Franktown, Colorado; three daughters, Genevieve Kuck and husband, Bruce of Pablo, Montana, Sherry Cotton of Bates City, Missouri, and Doris Jean Elley of Goshen, Kentuckey; 46 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchilden; 23 great-great-grandchildren; and relatives and friends.

Funeral Service are Saturday, 2 p.m., at Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook with the Rev. Lance Clay officiating. Interment is in the Culbertson Cemetery in Culbertson, Nebraska.

Visitation is Wednesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Herrmann Funeral Home in McCook.

Memorials may be given in her name and left at the funeral home.
