Lyons, Krebs exchange vows

Julia and Bradly Krebs

OMAHA, Nebrasaka -- Julia Ann Lyons of McCook, Nebraska and Bradly Justin Krebs of Omaha were united in marriage on July 10, 2010, at Dietz Memorial Church in Omaha with the Rev. Craig Finnestad officiating.

Parents of the couple are Philip and Diane Lyons of McCook and Gaileen Krebs and the late Gary Krebs of Omaha. The bride's grandparents are Phyllys Lyons of McCook and Dorothy Wilson of Lincoln, Nebraska.

The matron of honor was sister of the bride, Laura Plas of York, Nebraska. The bridesmaids were Kate Wawrzynkiewicz of Lincoln, cousin of the bride, Andrea Szwanek of Lincoln, and Christine Hazelton of Omaha. Personal attendants for the bride and bridegroom were Ryan Shield of Chadron, Nebraska and Jane Shield of McCook.

The best man was brother of the groom, Kevin Krebs of Omaha. The bridegroomsmen were Zac Ward of Omaha, J.R. Goodenough of Omaha, and Terry Torson of Omaha.

The flower girl was Lydia Nelson, formerly of McCook, and now Highwood, Montana. The ring bearer was nephew of the bridegroom, Marshall Krebs of Omaha. Ushers were brother of the bridegroom, Shawn Krebs of Phoenix, Arizona, and cousin of the bride, Doug Szwanek of Lincoln.

The guest book and program attendants were sisters of the groom, Kim Krebs of Boston, Massachusetts, Melinda Krebs of Omaha, and Shannon Smith of Phoenix. Music was provided by brother of the bride, Christopher Lyons of Lincoln.

A reception took place immediately followingthe ceremony at The Old Mattress Factory in Omaha. The host couples were Greg and Pam Wolfor of McCook and Uncle and Aunt of the bride, Jeff and Robin Szwanek of Lincoln.

The bride graduated from McCook High School in 2006 and from University of Nebraska at Kearney with a bachelor's degree in middle level education. She teaches sixth grade math and science at Russell Middle School in Millard. She is attending the University of Nebraska at Omaha through the CADRE Project and is on plan to graduate with a master's degree in education in the summer of 2011.

The bridegroom graduated from Millard South in 2001 and from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a bachelor's degree in secondary education. He has a master's degree in education and is on plan to graduate from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with his master's degree in administration in the summer of 2011. He teaches seventh grade social studies at Russell Middle School in Millard.

The couple resides in Omaha.
