After returning from serving in the army, he was united in marriage to Louise M. Streff on Feb. 17, 1942, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Orleans. To this union three children were born, Clayton, Suzanne and Barbara. Kenneth and Louise were farmers and made their home on a farm west of Indianola until 1982 when they moved into town.

Kenneth was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the McCook Elks Lodge. He served on the church board, school board and worked with the Noxious Weed District. He was an enthusiastic Husker fan and loved all sports. He and Louise were world travelers visiting Africa, Alaska, Puerto Rico, New Zealand, Australia, Europe, Jerusalem and the Holy Land. His family was so very important to him. He loved them all and was so proud of all of them.
