ATWOOD -- lnez Etta (Rummel) Johnson, 91, died Friday (Jan. 22, 2010) at her home in Atwood.

She was born Sept. 12, 1918, in Atwood, Kan., to Henry C. Rummel and Vivian (McKnight) Rummel.

On July 21, 1934, she married Francis Johnson. She worked as a store clerk at Manning's Grocery and Ridgeway Market. In the 1950s Francis built the Lakeside Cafe and she managed the restaurant. She also worked for her sister, Audrey Gannon at the Tastee Treat.

She was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness in 1954.

She was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers, August, Arlie, Stanley, Victor, Percy, Wesley, and Cecil; and two sisters, Evelyn Claar and Helen Ziegelmeier.

Survivors include one daughter, Dwilia and husband, Don Argabright of Atwood; one son, Dwayne and wife, Demis Johnson of Atwood; two sisters, Audrey Gannon of Atwood and Eunice and husband, Bernard Linderer of Golden, Colo.; one brother, Jesse and wife, Jaunita Rummel of Glenwood, Ark.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Atwood with Eldean Griffith officiating. There is no visitation.

A memorial has been established in her name.

Williams Funeral Home of Atwood is in charge of the arrangements.
