COZAD -- Marcey A. Wolford, 75, died Thursday (Jan. 14, 2010) at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

Marcey was born Dec. 30, 1934, at Smith Center, Kan., to Ralph and Hilda (Haring) Innes. She graduated from Odessa High School in 1952 and attended Kearney State College until 1954.

On Dec. 18, 1955, she married Wayne Wolford at the First Christian Church in Kearney. She lived in Lincoln where she worked as a secretary at Lincoln Liberty Life Insurance Company and later at a doctor's office. In 1958 she moved to Scottsbluff and later moved to Palatine, Ill., before making her home in Cozad in 1969.

She volunteered her time at the Wilson Public Library and Golden Living Care Center in Cozad. She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church in Cozad. She was a past President of the Cozad Hospital Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Neal McCormick and two sisters-in-law, Wanda Olson and Ruby Wolford.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne Wolford of Cozad; two sons, Steve and wife, Danna Wolford of Hastings, Greg and wife, Pam Wolford of McCook; one daughter, Jodi and husband, Mike Kocher of Lincoln; one sister, Geraldine McCormick of Centennial, Colo.; one brother-in-law, Vincent and wife, Wilma Wolford of Kearney and eight grandchildren.

Memorial services were Tuesday (Jan. 19, 2010) at the First Presbyterian Church in Cozad with the Revs. Elaine Besthorn and Karen Woo officiating.

A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.

Visitation was on Monday (Jan. 18, 2010) at the Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad.
