Nichole and Brian Malicky

COLUMBUS -- Nichole Marxsen and Brian Malicky, both of Omaha, were united in marriage August 7, 2009, at St.Anthony's Church in Columbus, with the Rev. Lydell Lape officiating.

Parents of the couple are Jay and Brenda Marxsen, and Dr. Larry and Barbara Malicky, all of Columbus.

Grandparents are Jerome and Barbara Reisdorff, of Shelby, Phil and Rita Phares, formerly of Palisade, now living in Oshkosh, Margaret Coffin, of Shelby, the late Marvin and Margaret Malicky, and Barbara and Jack Marxsen, of Schuyler.

Honor attendants were Rhonda Marxsen, of Lincoln, and Nathan Malicky, of Omaha.

Bridesmaids were Kelli Marxsen, of Columbus, Jessica Pelster, of Coleville, Calif., Kelly Cheloha and Crystal Kuzma, of Kearney.

Bridegroomsmen were Joseph Held, Jr., and William Soulliere III, of Columbus, Ryan Ames, of Kansas City, and Jacob Mandelko, of Kearney.

Ushers were Dominic Heimann and Wes Zach, of Lincoln, Aaron Schaben, of Omaha, and Kyle Smith of Lexington.

Ringbearer was Alec Wyman, of Atlantic, Iowa. Personal attendants were Blake Mettenbrink, of Lexington, and Katie Cozad, of Kearney.

The bride graduated from the College of Hair Design in Lincoln with degrees in cosmetology and esthetics, and is y a cosmetologist at Reaction salon in Omaha.

The bride groom graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Nebraska Kearney with a degree in Exercise Science. In addition to pursuing his degree, he played for the UNK football team from 2004-08, and is a physical therapy student at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

The couple traveled to Dana Point, Calif., for their honeymoon, and are making their home in Omaha.
